FieldMark

FieldMark Privacy Policy

Effective September 1, 2026

FieldMark is an on-device field log published by Ian Relecker. This policy describes how FieldMark handles information.

No accounts and no FieldMark backend

FieldMark does not create user accounts and does not operate a FieldMark server. Inspection data, evidence photos, markup, signatures, templates, and generated PDF reports stay in the FieldMark app container on the device you are using.

Information stored on your device

FieldMark stores the content you enter or attach, including site names, addresses, inspector and company defaults, checklist results, notes, photos, markup drawings, signatures, and reports. A company logo and inspector defaults may be remembered on the device for later logs.

Deleting an inspection removes its database records, evidence files, and generated reports for that log. Deleting the app deletes FieldMark data on that device. Generated reports older than 30 days are pruned when the app launches. There is no FieldMark cloud backup or cross-device restore.

Camera and photos

Camera access is requested only if you choose Camera to capture evidence. PhotosPicker grants access only to the items you select. FieldMark does not request broad photo-library permission. Imported photos are copied into the app container and re-encoded as JPEG so source EXIF and GPS metadata are not retained.

Purchases and organization licenses

FieldMark Pro is sold as an Apple In-App Purchase. Payment details are handled by Apple, not by FieldMark. Subscription and volume-license status is stored by Apple with the Apple ID or Managed Apple ID on the device, including licenses assigned through Apple Business Manager. FieldMark reads entitlement status from Apple on the device to unlock unlimited inspections and custom templates. FieldMark does not receive your payment card details.

When data leaves the device

Inspection content leaves the app only when you use the system share sheet, or when Apple processes an In-App Purchase or organization license. FieldMark does not include analytics, advertising, tracking, or third-party runtime SDKs.

Children

FieldMark is a productivity tool for property and facilities work. It is not directed at children and does not collect information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
